Ultrasound-lymphatic drainage-physiotherapy procedures for facial health and beauty
With age, every person experiences irreversible changes in the body. Obvious signs of these changes include worsening skin condition (wrinkles), dark circles or puffiness under the eyes, facial swelling, and loss of skin tone and elasticity. These issues are primarily linked to the weakening of one of the metabolic functions — lymph circulation. Since the role of lymph is to timely remove fluid and other metabolic byproducts from the intercellular space, additional lymphatic drainage not only helps resolve these problems but also improves the function of the lymphatic system.
Procedure Overview
The most effective method is device-assisted lymphatic drainage (the procedure is shown in the photo). For the face — an area with particularly thin skin and minimal subcutaneous fat — ultrasound (US) lymphatic drainage is recommended. In our health resort, this type of massage is performed using a professional MИT-11 device in mode P8, together with a vibration module. To improve contact between the skin and the working head, a facial massage product such as cream or oil is applied.
Ultrasound exposure on facial skin lasts for 20 minutes. To fully eliminate lymph stagnation in the face, a course of 10–15 daily sessions is recommended. Our pricing allows you to complete the full course at the resort without breaks between sessions. The first few procedures activate the metabolism, so visible improvements in the treated areas can already be seen after 4–5 sessions.
Results of the Procedure
Micromassage at the cellular level stimulates the outflow of excess venous blood and used-up lymph, which has a noticeable effect on skin color. As a result, the skin regains a healthy glow, puffiness and dark circles around the eyes disappear, circulation improves, and a natural flush appears on the face. Oxygen absorption increases, giving the skin a healthy appearance without the need for additional skincare. This procedure enhances skin firmness and smoothness.
Contraindications
Lymphatic drainage increases muscle and vascular tone. However, for certain conditions that could worsen the patient’s health, it is better to avoid this procedure. These include:
- Cardiovascular problems;
- Oncological diseases;
- Blood clotting disorders and hemophilia.
A temporary contraindication is a cold or viral infection (ARVI), since during illness the body experiences increased stress, including on the lymphatic system. A direct contraindication is the presence of enlarged or abnormal lymph nodes in the face and neck area, as well as skin damage or inflammation in the treatment zone.
Resort conditions and general treatments accelerate the disappearance of these symptoms and allow for planned ultrasound lymphatic drainage. Using a comprehensive and preventive therapy approach at our health resort ensures long-lasting results from both wellness and cosmetic procedures.
