Rheovasography

Rheovasography (RVG) — a method for diagnosing the condition of the vascular system and assessing blood flow within it. It is a modern, non-invasive technique used to study the dynamics of pulse blood filling in organs, tissues, or specific body areas. In its computerized version, RVG allows automatic identification of types of main and collateral circulation, determines the level of arterial occlusion, and helps diagnose impaired venous outflow.

Performing various functional and pharmacological tests makes it possible to detect hidden pathologies in the circulatory system. This method is extremely valuable for diagnоsing diseases of the peripheral arteries that are accompanied by partial narrowing or complete occlusion of the vessel.

The results of this study help identify circulatory disturbances, most commonly caused by atherosclerotic or inflammatory vascular lesions.

RVG is recommended for patients experiencing:

  • Numbness;
  • Cold sensation in hands and feet;
  • Muscle cramps;
  • And such conditions as:
  • Atherosclerosis;
  • Raynaud’s syndrome;
  • Peripheral autonomic insufficiency;
  • Obliterating endarteritis;
  • Varicose vein enlargement;
  • Impaired peripheral circulation due to diabetes;
  • Thrombophlebitis.
