Deforming osteoarthritis (DOA) is a chronic joint disease characterized by degeneration of the articular cartilage, followed by changes in the bone articular surfaces, the development of osteophytes, and progressive joint deformity.
Causes of occurrence
As we get older, many of us start having joint problems. Their mobility decreases, and their movements are accompanied by pain. All these are signs of osteoarthritis, a chronic disease that affects the joints and often forces you to completely change your lifestyle.
The most common cause of osteoarthritis is the discrepancy between the load on the joints and their "safety margin". The culprits of this condition can be: overweight, standing work, poor posture, sports (jumping, running or lifting weights). Also important are: metabolic and hormonal disorders, poor blood supply to the joint, hereditary predisposition to diseases of cartilage tissue, old age, injuries, diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis.
Treatment in a sanatorium
The sanatorium has an extensive medical base equipped with modern equipment that allows effective treatment of patients with joint diseases. During treatment, the following procedures are used::
Water treatments (radon baths, coniferous, bischofite, ozone and dry carbon dioxide baths);
Thermal procedures (electroplating, paraffin-ozokerite applications);
Hardware physiotherapy (phonophoresis, electrophoresis, amplipulse and diadinamotherapy, interdin currents);
Phototherapy (bioptron, laser therapy, Vlok, UFOK, photon polychrome Matrix);
Massage (manual and vacuum);
UHT (shock wave therapy);
TRACTION THERAPY;
INTRA-ARTICULAR ADMINISTRATION OF THERAPEUTIC MIXTURES;
PLASMOLIFTING OF JOINTS;
Carboxytherapy;
Acupuncture;
INDIVIDUAL JOINT DEVELOPMENT;
Physical therapy.
Therapeutic effect after treatment: inflammation disappears, blood supply to the joints improves, cartilage tissue nutrition and regenerative processes improve, swelling and pain decrease, muscle tension decreases, and joint mobility increases.
The final method of treatment, the list and number of necessary procedures is determined by the attending physician after the examination, taking into account the patient's concomitant diseases.
