For a trip to a sanatorium - it is not enough to book a room and pay for a trip, you need to prepare a set of documents, and the main one is a sanatorium card (form 072/O), without which it is impossible to complete a course of Sanatorium treatment! A person who goes to a sanatorium for the first time has many questions about issuing a card, receiving it, and using it. These questions are answered by Alexander Yefimovich, deputy director for medical affairs of Fix.

A health resort card is a medical or legal document, the form of which is approved by the Ministry of Health for undergoing health resort treatment. The card allows you to exchange information about the patient's health by two specialists: the doctor who sent them for treatment, and the doctor who will be engaged in recovery at the resort.

The therapist at the patient's place of residence, based on his outpatient card, fills out the sanatorium-resort card: indicates in it the main and concomitant diagnoses of the person, information on his current state of Health, Complaints, and previous treatment.

1) Why do I need a health resort card?
The Attending Physician of the sanatorium, based on the information specified in the sanatorium-resort card, prescribes an individual course of treatment at the resort. The more complete the health resort card is, the more health problems the patient can cover. The card data on contraindications will protect the doctor and patient from errors in prescribing procedures.

2) Where can I apply for a health resort card?
To apply for a health resort card, you can contact the Polyclinic at your place of residence or a private medical center. The general practitioner will write out all the necessary referrals for examination and tests. In order for the treatment in the sanatorium to be the most effective, the doctor must have up-to-date information about your health status. do not use the services of an organization that offers to issue a health resort card, without passing an examination!!!

3) What examinations will you need to pass to apply for a health resort card?
The minimum required medical examination includes:

- examination of specialist doctors (general practitioner, gynecologist for women);
- research (lung fluorography, heart ECG);
- tests (general blood test, general urine test, blood glucose, gynecological flora smear for women).

After receiving the results, you need to come to the therapist again. They will study the results of tests, recommendations of other specialists, form a conclusion, and fill out a card.

It is correct to additionally take with you the "fresh" results of various kinds of diagnostic tests, according to which a person is observed by a specialist. For example, if a person is diagnosed with thyroid disease, it is necessary to take the latest result of an ultrasound of the thyroid gland, a blood test for thyroid hormones. A balneologist, having on hand detailed information about the current state of health of a person, will be able to choose the right therapeutic course.

4) What is the validity period of the health resort card?
The health resort card is valid for 1 month. This means that you need to apply for it no earlier than a month in advance, but no later than 2-5 days before the start of arrival at the sanatorium.

5) Can i Apply for a health resort card in a health resort?
It is impossible to issue a health resort card as a legal document in a sanatorium! If you want to get a treatment appointment immediately upon arrival at the sanatorium, come with a ready-made health resort card.

We hope that this information was useful for you!
