Leisure
Along with excellent treatment at the «Berezovyy Gay» sanatorium, we offer exciting leisure activities during your free time away from procedures.
Leisure options at our sanatorium include:
- Library – Equipped with a great selection of both modern and classic literature. Every curious reader will find an interesting book.
- Table tennis and badminton (available in summer).
- Bicycle rentals in summer and ski equipment and sleds in winter.
- Nordic walking – this is the safest form of physical activity for anyone. These walks require no special fitness level, yet help maintain vitality and strengthen health. Walking along forest paths allows you to relax mentally, relieve stress, and recover from emotional overload.
- Walks to the forest lake, where you can enjoy local landscapes and breathe fresh air filled with the scent of pine. This is the perfect place for inner peace, inspiration, and creativity. Around the small lake, you'll find various gazebos, barbecues, and swings.
There are also a variety of restaurants, bars, discos, Ukrainian-style parties, and additional service providers near the sanatorium: beauty salons, ATMs, currency exchange points, and a concert hall.
You may also enjoy visiting our renovated city park, which features a mini zoo, skate park, children's playground, and a small lake with swans and wild ducks. The park offers many shaded gazebos where you can relax after a walk. Near the park, we recommend visiting the palace of Count Ksydo, considered one of the most unique castles in Ukraine. The architect combined several different styles into one building — viewed from different angles, it’s hard to believe it's the same palace. The town also has its own castle — or rather, just one remaining tower, which is at least half a millennium old. The upper floors house a historical museum where you can learn all about the town’s past.
During your free time, you can also arrange excursions from Khmilnyk:
- Medzhybizh Castle – a fortress located in the village of Medzhybizh, Khmelnytskyi region.
- Vinnytsia – Hitler’s bunker “Werewolf”, Kozyubinsky Museum, Pirogov Memorial Estate.
- Village of Braіliv, where every stone breathes with history.
- Pochaiv – famous for the Pochaiv Lavra and associated miracles.
- Uman – Sofiyivka dendropark.
- Ostroh – the Holy Dormition Women's Monastery.
- Berdychiv – the monastery of the Order of Barefoot Carmelites.

- Village Khotyn – Khotyn Fortress.
